You may have noticed we've brought back the Top Stories "image rotator" to our front page. Clicking on the image takes you to the story page.
I want to improve this so when you click on the image, the video will play right on the front page where the image was.
I know enough about PHP to know what is possible, but not enough to know how to execute it. What I need written is some php files that will build the code for a blip video that has one variable that will be delivered by the url. That variable is the blip file number.
Here is an example of the code for the blip video embed:
The url that follows the "embed src=" code is the variable. Everything after the url starting with "type =" is present in all videos.
The image rotator is in an iframe. Clicking on the image would open it in the same window replacing the image rotator.
What I need is someone to write the PHP files and tell me how the url should be formatted. I'll then configure our yahoo pipes to deliver the url in that format.
I'm not married to using PHP. If someone has a better idea using something else, please let me know!
